Philosophy of EducationOur philosophy of education is based on the conviction that God has revealed himself generally through creation and particularly through his Word. We believe that the Bible is verbally inspired by God and inerrant. We believe that it is the only infallible guide for faith and life. As a result, we seek to emphasize the study of Scripture and the application of its principles to all areas of life.
In the area of mental development, students acquire truth and adjust their thinking accordingly. In the area of spiritual growth, the ethical and moral principles of God's Word become an activating force in the lives of students. In the area of cultural development, students are encouraged to cultivate the habits of refinement in speech, conduct, and social ethics to relate properly to society. In the area of applied work, students develop skills in the practical application of knowledge and methods acquired in the classroom to the needs of society. We view learning as the cooperative process of faculty guidance, self-directed study, and student life and ministry. The integration of God's truth is a Spirit-directed process as the consequence of the personal appropriation of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Our objective is to prepare the student for holy living, and a full expression of abilities and gifts in the body of Christ. Since Jesus Christ is Lord of all, we accept that the principles of Scripture must dominate our policy making, administrative procedures, interpersonal relationships, and classroom activities.

Because all truth is from God, we are committed to teaching students that God's truth is the integrating factor for all of life. Therefore, our educational curriculum includes biblical, general, and professional studies. All teaching is rooted in a consistent and exegetical theological framework. We seek to balance the learning of orthodox theological traditions with developing the ability to make theological and ethical judgments.
