Transfer Policy
The Seminary grants transfer credits for previous work from colleges or universities according to the following guidelines:
- Only courses with grade ‘C' or better will be transferred for credit. The grades for transfer courses are averaged with the student's GPA while at the Seminary.
- In order to qualify for transfer credits, courses must parallel requirements of the respective Seminary program of study, and course work must be comparable.
- Transfer of Bible courses will be based on comparable theological/doctrinal perspectives.
- No more than 75% of Bible courses (Old Testament, New Testament, Hermeneutics, and Theology) in any Seminary program can be transferred.
- Transfer students must complete a minimum of 30 hours in residence for graduation.
- Courses taken at other institutions (including correspondence courses) while a student is enrolled at the Seminary require prior approval by the registrar.
- A transfer applicant must have left his/her previous institution in good standing. A student who has been dismissed or suspended from another college for disciplinary reasons must submit a letter from the dean of the college, giving the reason for dismissal. In addition, any debts with former institutions must be settled before credit is granted at the Seminary.
- Official transcripts of all former institutions must be received by the Registrar's office prior to approval for admittance.
- Transfer students must meet all of the general admissions requirements listed above
